Privacy Policy
How mp3intomidi.com handles local files, analytics, and standard website request data.
Last updated: 2026-09-19
Overview
mp3intomidi.com provides browser-based audio and MIDI conversion tools. The public conversion tools are designed to work without requiring an account, subscription, or payment.
A key part of the product is local processing: files you choose for conversion are processed in your browser rather than uploaded to our application server as conversion jobs.
Files You Convert
When you select an audio or MIDI file, the conversion workflow runs on your device. Depending on the tool, your browser may decode audio, run a transcription model, synthesize sound, create MIDI data, or encode MP3 data locally.
The selected source file is not sent to our application server for conversion. Generated MIDI or MP3 output is created in the browser and downloaded to your device.
The website itself, JavaScript, model files, fonts, and other required assets are still delivered over the internet, so normal website requests occur when you load and use the site.
Analytics and Website Request Data
We currently use Plausible for privacy-friendly, aggregate website analytics. This helps us understand information such as which pages are visited and how the site is used at an overall level.
We do not use analytics to create advertising profiles, account profiles, or payment profiles for users of the public conversion tools.
As with most websites, our hosting and delivery infrastructure may also process standard request information needed to serve and protect the site, such as request timestamps, browser or device information, IP addresses, and security-related metadata. Such infrastructure data is used for delivery, reliability, abuse prevention, and security.
Accounts and Payments
The current public conversion tools do not require registration and do not require payment. We therefore do not ask you to provide account credentials or payment-card information in order to use those tools.
If we introduce optional account or paid features in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated before those features are covered by it.
Cookies and Local Browser Storage
The conversion tools do not need a user account cookie to process your files. The site or its infrastructure may use essential browser storage or cookies where technically necessary for security, preferences, or application operation.
Plausible analytics is used for aggregate traffic measurement rather than cross-site advertising.
Service Providers
We rely on service providers for infrastructure functions such as hosting, content delivery, security, and aggregate analytics. These providers may process standard request data as needed to provide those services.
We do not sell personal information.
Data Security
We use HTTPS and reasonable technical measures to protect website traffic and service infrastructure. Local processing also reduces the need to transfer source audio or MIDI files to our application server.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices and Rights
You can use the public conversion tools without creating an account. You can also block or restrict browser storage and analytics using your browser or privacy tools, although some site functionality may be affected.
Privacy rights vary by jurisdiction. If you have a question or request concerning personal information associated with the website, please contact us through the contact information made available on the site.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the product, analytics, infrastructure, or legal requirements change. The date above will be updated when we make material revisions.
